Our research

Our project takes a One Health approach to strengthening national and global governance for improved antimicrobial stewardship.

Our research will be conducted across five work packages:

1. Situational, institutional, legal and impact analysis of antimicrobial stewardship policies
2. Scoping reviews of One Health approaches to stewardship and integrated surveillance
3. Systems analysis of how complex systems drive antimicrobial resistance
4. Comparative analysis to identify best practice in antimicrobial stewardship
5. Design thinking workshops to generate inter-sectoral governance models and policy solutions

This work will be undertaken at the global level, as well as at the national level in five case study countries: Canada, Hungary, the Netherlands, the Philippines and Senegal.
